Hatten Group, a leading property developer in Melaka, is entering a joint venture with The Ebenex Group, an integrated events solutions provider in Singapore, to create 828 Asia.
828 Asia will provide one stop, integrated event solutions for live experiences and MICE events to be hosted at Hatten City in Melaka.
It will also provide a bridge for Asian arts and culture to showcase in Melaka, transforming Melaka into a world class live entertainment and MICE destination through strong collaborations and partnerships.
Local jobs in Melaka will be created through 828 Academy, which will train Malaysians for events related jobs and provide them with employment both locally as well as regionally.

David Ebenezer Toh has been in the events business for 15+ years and been involved in large scale projects such as National Day Parade in Singapore, Singapore Grand Prix and was appointed Technical Director for ASEAN Ministers’ Summit Gala in 2018 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also involved with as tour production manager in China with West End musical, Inala as well as over 3000 shows.
He is also CEO of The Ebenex Group, which consists of 9 related companies in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan that collectively, covers the entire events value chain.
David serves as Vice Chairman of local music charity, SGMUSO, Board Member of Singapore Canoe Federation, Head of Special Projects, Toh Clan Association, Kentville RN grassroots leader and Brigade CAS in the Singapore Armed Forces.
